Hi everyone! My name is Jenny and I have been attending Sierra since this Spring. Before transferring to Sierra, I attended the University of San Francisco for a semester. Pre-collegiate life, I graduated from Loretto High School in Sacramento. I am an English major with a possible French minor and, once I have 60 units, my plan is to transfer to UC Berkeley. I just recently procured a job at a Jo-Ann's on Sunrise and Madison that opens in a few weeks, so currently I stock craft goods. So, here are a list of a few of my favorite things:
Bands/Artists: The Smiths, Morrissey, The Velvet Underground, David Bowie, and so much more. . .for more contemporary: Andrew Bird, Manchester Orchestra, Stars, Broken Social Scene, Elliott Smith, and The Killers.
Books: Anything by Oscar Wilde, Bret Easton Ellis, Augusten Bouroughs, Chuck Palahniuk, Jonathan Safran Foer, Hunter S. Thompson, or Kurt Vonnegut. I tend to read all of the works by one author at the same time--the last book I read was Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis and all I have left is American Psycho, but I'm not sure if I want to read that one. . .eek.
Movies: Fight Club, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Rocky Horror, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Boondock Saints, Amelie, Paris, Je T'aime, and Heathers.
TV Shows: Freaks and Geeks, Flight of the Conchords, Arrested Development, Project Runway, Weeds, The Office, and Scrubs.
